24 January 2017 - In a move to adopt a single vendor information and image-sharing platform for its system-wide collaborative needs, South Carolina’s Greenville Health System (GHS) recently signed an agreement with Agfa HealthCare for its Enterprise Imaging platform. The suite of solutions will allow it to seamlessly connect its facilities with patient imaging and textual data across the Upstate of South Carolina. Agfa HealthCare’s North American headquarters is located right in GHS’ backyard, in downtown Greenville.

January 17, 2017 - International medical imaging IT and cybersecurity company Sectra announces that John Muir Health has purchased an archive to store radiology and cardiology studies in the cloud. All images in the enterprise will be archived in three geographically separate areas with fail-over capabilities. Integration with the Epic EMR will allow physicians to access comprehensive patient records through the Sectra Universal Viewer

January, 4, 2017 - Vocera Communications , announced that it was awarded a $14 million contract from the US Department of Defense (DoD), and deployments will begin in January 2017 in US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) facilities around the world. This agreement with the DoD marks the largest contract in Vocera’s history. Under the terms of the contract, Vocera will equip care team members with its unique wireless, hands-free communication solution in 23 facilities across MEDCOM.
