May 23, 2017 - Clearwater Compliance today announced it will be the recommended cybersecurity provider for all the hospitals in the state of Georgia under an exclusive, multiyear endorsement agreement. Clearwater was awarded the exclusive endorsement and preferred provider status by Georgia Hospital Health Services (GHHS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA). GHA serves more than 170 hospitals and health systems representing 100 percent of the acute care hospitals in Georgia. Clearwater’s solutions are already exclusively endorsed by the American Hospital Association.
May 22, 2017 - Dr. Eric Farber, a World War II veteran and Purple Heart awardee, will gain a bit of privacy and independence while a resident of Gainesville Community Living Center. Farber is the first to receive a new set of headphones as part of a grant from Get Involved Now Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to meet the personal and emotional needs of patients and their families during life-defining health care moments. Get Involved Now, founded by employees of GetWellNetwork, has awarded 195 grants totaling nearly $70,000 since 2013. These grants fall into two categories: “Get Well Soon Grants” to fund projects in the hospital setting and “Get Involved Now Grants” to fund community-based projects.

As part of this collaboration, NIST has released a draft practice guide, titled NIST SP 1800-8, Securing Wireless Infusion Pumps in Healthcare Delivery Organizations, to demonstrate how healthcare delivery organizations can use best practices along with standards-based, commercially available cybersecurity technologies to better protect their wireless infusion pump ecosystem.
